BIG NEWS:
***** Movin' on up - to the East Side *****
Andrighetti Glassworks supply store is moving to 1191 Parker Street,
near Clark and Venables in Vancouver.
We’ll be located in the brand new
Terminal City Glass Co-op.
What is the Terminal City Glass Co-op?
A dream come true! – an affordable studio where glass artists can access all kinds of equipment and expertise.
Come and create with glass and learn in a supportive environment. There will be a hot shop, a flameworking studio,
a coldworking room and a sandblaster. It is structured as a co-op, which means it is owned by the members, for the members.
Anyone can apply to join. For more information please visit: terminalcityglass.com
What about classes?
There will be all kinds of classes offered at Terminal City: Beadmaking, Boro, Furnacework (Glassblowing)
and Sandblasting for beginners and advanced. Plus lectures and demonstrations.
To stay informed of what is going on, get yourself on the mailing list here: terminalcityglass.com/contact/
What about studio rental?
The equipment you used at Andrighetti Glass will be moved to Terminal City Glass.
The studio will be open 7 days a week and have all kinds of extra amenities not currently avaiable.
But it is structured as a co-op, so you have to join the co-op in order to rent studio time.
For membership information check out: terminalcityglass.com/membership/
What about the store?
That’s the best part: the store will be located right next to, but will operate independently of, the co-op.
We will continue to sell Simax clear boro, Boro colour, soft glass colour, supplies and tools.
We will be adding new products like 96 COE colour bar for the furnace blowers, and coldworking supplies.
When is it all happening?
Saturday, March 24th
That’s the last day for shopping or renting time at the 3 West 3rd location.
After that we’ll be closed for a week and then the store is scheduled to re-open in the new location sometime around the first week of April.
The torches should be ready to rent around then too, with the hot shop ready to go towards the beginning of May.
If you want more info, please feel free to call or email...
Hope to see you at the new location!
